The mission of Eldridge Overton Educational Programs is to provide comprehensive, outcome based programs to our clients. Our goal is to foster the development of the clients’ academic and social skills and to provide them with the necessary tools to achieve their full potential. We strive to provide an individualized program that addresses the clients’ unique learning styles, cultivates independent thought, promotes the students’ realization of age-appropriate milestones, builds self-esteem and character.

THE WHOLE PICTURE
A comprehensive assessment is administered to the client to present a complete picture of the academic strengths and weaknesses. This norm-referenced assessment identifies and pinpoints the specific skill areas in which the student is experiencing difficulty. These skill gaps are what lead to falling behind in school.
THE INDIVIDUALIZED EDUCATION PROGRAM
Our program is based on specifically identified skill gaps. A mastery-based learning plan is carefully developed and individualized to focus on identified skill gaps and on the development and mastery of new skills.

Student success is contingent upon the dedication that our highly qualified staff provides our clients. Each staff member receives intensive, ongoing training on best practices in the fields of education, psychology and social work. Team Eldridge Overton is composed of a variety of professionals that work in concert to achieve our mission. The team implements a collection of pedagogical strategies to meet the varying needs of our clientele.
THE SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM
Success is built into our program. At every tutoring session, the student achieves success by completing specific learning objectives. Students demonstrate that they have mastered one skill before moving on to the next skill. Each success results in improved self esteem and confidence. A low student teacher ratio ensures immediate and individual access to trained and caring tutors. As a result, each student receives a wealth of personal attention. Our motivational system provides an incentive for consistent and continued student efforts. Continual assessment of student progress is an integral part of the program. An ongoing review of goals and objectives closely tracks the student work.
