Entering Grades K-2
Week 2 – June 17 to June 21 – Young Explorers
Calling all future scientists! Do you want to be an archaeologist, geologist, biologist or chemist? Do you want to go digging for dinosaurs, create your own fossil, cause a volcano eruption or create magic potions? Come and explore with us. Students ‘write lab reports’ for parents. You’re going to love it.
Entering Grades 3-5
Week 1 – June 10 to 14 – The Writer’s Roundtable
Does your child love to write stories? Here is an opportunity for your budding author to shine! The course introduces a series of genres (i.e. poetry, narrative essays, plays, etc)
Week 2 – June 17 to June 21 – Ready, Set, Math!
In this course, students challenge themselves and one another to solve difficult math problems. Along the way, we will learn techniques to help us think about how to approach math problems of many kinds. To keep things interesting and fun, students will often work in groups and there will be an emphasis on class participation. Everyone will participate in fun math contests and games!
Week 3 – June 24 to June 28 – The Drama Club
Act! Sing! Dance! The young learners will tap into their multiple intelligences as we explore their more dramatic side. This course delivers a balance of focused and fun activities that combine the arts of writing, movement and individual creativity.
